Day Tripper: Beekman 1802 Transforms Into Rose Apothecary
The Beekman Boys have done it again! The innovative team behind the brand Beekman 1802, famous for their goat milk-based product line, has collaborated with the hilarious, binge-worthy show we can’t get enough of, Schitt’s Creek to bring a little slice of the show to life in Sharon Springs, NY. The Beekman 1802 Mercantile has transformed into Rose Apothecary - the shop in which characters David (Daniel Levy) & Patrick (Noah Reid) own and operate in their little town, a close parallel to Josh and Brent, owners of Beekman 1802.

The scenic ride from Albany is perfect on a clear day to see the mountains, just over an hour via i-88 and Route 20, you’ll roll through the towns that once boomed in the days before the thruway was built. As you enter historic Sharon Springs, the welcome sign boasts, “Old Fashioned Hospitality” which rings true with nearly everyone you’ll meet. Sharon Springs rose to popularity at the same time as Saratoga Springs, but Sharon Springs tourism declined until recent years and the town is in the midst of a revitalization.

Your adventure starts on the outside of the shop, as you snap photos and selfies of the Rose Apothecary sign. As you enter, your senses will be overwhelmed with gorgeous textures, sights and optional scents (you can touch, feel and smell nearly every product at your leisure). Greeted as a neighbor, the product lines are vast and you can even purchase your very own Rose Apothecary branded products, available now!

Browsing through all of the products is so much fun, the hardest part of your visit is actually deciding which products you’re keeping for yourself versus gifting to your family and friends because a brand this great needs to be shared! Every detail has been curated perfectly for an ideal experience that will have you planning your next trip back before you’re even in the car. Beekman 1802 is more than goat milk soaps, the shop is filled with amazing facial care, shampoo, conditioner, lip balm, and culinary items and SO much more!

While Beekman 1802 is open year-round, the Rose Apothecary pop-up is expected to come down March 1st, so mark your calendars, grab your friends and head west for the little town of Sharon Springs. The Mercantile is open 10 AM-6 PM every day.
