Yaddo Gardens
Step into another world right in Saratoga County, seemingly hidden just off of the highway with thousands of visitors passing by the unassuming entrance each year. Yaddo Gardens date back to the turn of the century when Spencer Trask gifted them to his wife Katrina - *swoon*. The gardens are free, open to the public from dawn to dusk every day aside from Travers when they are closed.
As you enter through the gates, drive to the parking lot and leave your car and worries behind to explore the gardens and take in the beauty of the diverse flowers and plants. Follow Self Guided Tour, or let your curiosity steer your path. Fall is a favorite time to embrace the color change, sun through the trees, moss-covered rocks, reflections in the water, and see the true beauty the Trasks envisioned.
The gardens are perfect for a romantic date and top it all off with a visit to The Brook Tavern just down Union Ave for an early dinner in a historic Saratoga setting.
