May 9 Upstate Stuffed Cookie Craze

About: Cookie Therapy ALB was launched in late February after founders, Faye and Ashley had spent lots of time anxious baking! They realized they loved the creativity of baking cookies, and that their friends and family loved the product they were turning out. After doing some research, they saw that big, stuffed cookies had started catching on in other major metropolitan areas of the US, so why not bring it to the Capital Region? Since then, they have baked over 10,000 cookies out of their commercial kitchen in Troy, NY, and have been featured on local and national news programs. They have lots of big things up their (hot pink chef's jacket) sleeves! Above all, they're as dedicated to their customer service just as much as they are to producing a premium product.

Off Duty Cookies

About: Michelle and Amy are married with 3 young children. Amy has always baked for fun, baking all the favors for their wedding. Off Duty Cookies began when Michelle challenged Amy by saying that there was “no way” she could make a certain cookie. Like in any good marriage, she accepted the challenge, and the very next day proved her wrong. As soon as she tasted the cookie she said, “you have to share these.” With both of them working full time (Michelle is a Detective with Rotterdam Police) they decided to start this business in their “downtime.” Soon after that, Off Duty Cookies was born! They are a home-based cookie bakery located in Schenectady County.
