ABOUT THE SHOW…

"This musical re‐creation of Fats Waller, the jazz singer and pianist, is a whole cluster of marvels." - The New York Times

"This is going to be short and sweet. Ain't Misbehavin' is one of the best things I've ever seen in the Musical Theatre" - The Boston Globe

Playhouse Stage Company is proud to re-open Albany’s Park Playhouse with this Tony and Emmy Award-winning musical! A sassy, sultry musical celebration of jazz great Fats Waller, Ain't Misbehavin' evokes the delightful humor and infectious energy of a true American legend and the songs that he made famous from uptown clubs to downtown Tin Pan Alley to Hollywood and concert stages the world round!

Featuring a dynamite cast of five triple threat actors from such past Playhouse shows as Ragtime, Sweeney Todd, Lady Day and more, Ain’t Misbehavin’ is sure to be a hit when Playhouse Stage Co. returns to Albany's Park Playhouse in July. Jean-Remy Monnay, Artistic Director of the Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate NY, will direct this classic, award-winning musical that explores the music, and the era, of jazz in America. Note: Ain’t Misbehavin contains some mild adult material that some parents may find inappropriate for children under 13.
