Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan will host a tree lighting ceremony in front of Albany City Hall on Thursday, December 5th at 5 p.m. in honor of the holiday season. City Hall (cccc.) will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. with FREE refreshments, crafts, music, and informational tables.
The tree lighting ceremony kicks off with a concert by Amy Heebner on the historic Albany City Carillon beginning at 4:30. Mayor Sheehan, members of the Albany Tulip Court and city officials will light the tree at 5:30. Afterwards, inside City Hall, enjoy a holiday performance by Albany High School Albanettes and Troubadours Choir, holiday crafts with the Albany Tulip Court and FREE refreshments from Albany High Culinary Students, donuts and cider from Cider Belly Donuts, savory treats from Field Notes and delicious coffee from Stacks Espresso. Representatives from local organizations including the Albany Public Library will be on-hand with information on their programs and upcoming events.
