Chowdown on chili in #DowntownSchenectady during the 5th Annual Chili Chowdown on Saturday, December 7, 2019! Enjoy an afternoon in Downtown Schenectady hopping from location to location tasting great chili from some of Schenectady County’s best restaurants and pubs.

To participate in the Downtown Schenectady Chili Chowdown, event attendees will need to:

1. Visit a participating restaurant location and pick up a map/ballot, making sure to get your map/ballot stamped by each restaurant.

2. Stroll around to any of the participating restaurant locations tasting chili for $1 a cup (3 oz. serving) and, for our over 21 participants, regional craft brews for $1 a cup (3 oz. serving).

3. VOTE for your favorite recipe! Once you sample at least half of all the chili recipes, vote for your favorite by marking your map/ballot and dropping it at one of several drop-box locations around downtown by 4:15pm.
