The Tugboat Roundup is a three day gathering and celebration of tugboats and other vessels working on New York's historic waterways and beyond. This year marks the 20th anniversary (and the 20th) Tugboat Roundup.
Saturday’s Schedule:
All day: Boat rides (fee) vendors, live music, presentations, children’s activities and more.
10am to 6pm: Docked tugs open for tours
10am to 4pm Waterford Harbor Farmers, Bouncy Slide, and Fire Safety Obstacle Course at Lock 2
10am Kids' Line Tossing Contest at Lock 2 (no registration required)
10am to 1pm Live music with Boys of Wexford at the Hurst Harbor Center
10am to 10pm: Tug Trolley runs, stops at parking lot, festival and Corcoran's Towpath Tavern.
11am Kayaking for Meso kayakers come through Lock 2
11am Tug Talks, upstairs in the Hurst Harbor Center. Sarah Wassberg Johnson, of the Hudson River Maritime Museum presents “Hudson River Lighthouses”
12pm to 3pm Pony rides at Lock 2
12:30pm Tug Talks, upstairs in the Hurst Harbor Center. Rob Goldman, of NYS Highway Marine and John Callaghan present “History of the Tugboat Roundup”
1pm to 4pm Live music with Three Quarters North at the Hurst Harbor Center
2pm Tug Talk, upstairs in the Hurst Harbor Center. Hilary Russell, of the Wooden Boat School, presents “The History of Russell Towing”
5pm to 8pm Live music with Lou’s Blues at the Hurst Harbor Center
